How Pay What You Can Physio works

Everyone deserves access to quality physiotherapy advice without long waits or financial barriers. Physiotherapists volunteer a few appointments each month. People on an NHS waiting list can request one, and pay what they can afford.

For patients

• You can use this service if you are on an NHS physiotherapy waiting list and cannot afford private care.
• You get one assessment and advice appointment, to help you manage your condition while you wait.
• We do not ask for proof of income.
• The clinic confirms your request by email. You pay what you can, directly to the physio, at the appointment.

• You choose how many appointments to offer each month, and when.
• We check every clinician against the HCPC register before their appointments are shown.
• You see only a patient’s name and contact details. Medical history stays in your own system.
